Welcome to the website of Praja Rajyam!
Let me thank you, on behalf of PRP, for taking the time to learn more about our party and the sacred pact that we have formed with the people of A.P., and India. It is sacred because this land and its people have nourished and made us what we are today. We are ready to repay our immense debt, not as an obligation but as a privilege. That sacred pact impels us to strive for a better future for all the people. Together we can make it happen.
Praja Rajyam’s genesis is the rising crescendo of demand for change by We, the people; and it makes me proud to have been nominated by our people to be the servant in leading this quest for a better tomorrow for all. Our expectations from our governments are very simple: protection and empowerment of all citizens, starting with the weakest and the most deprived, from the womb to the grave. Our cultural heritage and our parents have taught us to have empathy for each other and to feel the injustice inflicted upon another as injustice against all of us. Consequently,we feel a sense of moral hollowness when we see injustice - social, economic and political - envelope our people. Too many of our people have been kept in depredatory poverty that denigrates our humanity, denied knowledge that could free us from the shackles of ignorance, and made to suffer illness and bad health that debilitates our body and stunts our minds. We, the people, find that unconscionable. That has to change. That will change. Because we, the people will join hands in bringing that change.
Most people think that politics has degenerated. They are right. Rather than being a calling to serve our people, politics has become a compulsive vocation to plunder and loot them. Democratic governments ought to be the trustees - dharmadhikaris - of the people, anxious about their conditions and constantly shepherding them on to the path of progress. Instead, the governments that we have been given by the value free politics of the existing political organizations, prey upon us, destroying our present and squelching the hopes of our children. Corruption envelopes us; even those, whose daily survival is a struggle, are not spared its rapacious claws. At the top, the leaders have come to believe that it is their right to embezzle and extort; and that it is also right and proper that their kith, kin and crooked friends in the business communities to defraud us. Corruption kills many because it does not allow the benefits to reach the weakest and the poorest amongst us. Corruption degrades our lives, because it prevents our governments from protecting and empowering us. Corruption has destroyed the lives of many of us, and will destroy the lives of our children too.
Unless we stop it!
We need to infuse our politics with the moral urgency to serve our people. Our future and the future of our children depends on that. We cannot continue to remain as silent spectators. That has to change. That will change. Because we, the people can join hands and bring about the change that is needed.
Other parties promise change too; but they are false prophesies of false prophets. They have to be disbelieved and they have to be discarded. For over sixty years we have been ruled by a few families belonging to a few communities; and they have, over and over, betrayed our trust. They can be stopped if the hitherto excluded segments of our people come together - the SC’s, the ST’s, the OBC’s, the economically backward classes, the Minorities, the disabled and our women - to take power back to where it belongs: with the people.
People come together to bring about change when there is a higher cause than their own individual lives. That higher cause is Social Justice and without it change will be meaningless. If Social Justice is not our goal we will neither be able to inspire each other nor trust each other. That is why, Social Justice was made the corner stone of our Constitution. However, that goal has been set aside because of the degerate politics that have afflicted our society, state and nation. That has to change. That will change. And, when in our legislative halls and our secretariats, in our educational institutions and our courts, and in all other places where where decisions are made, the moral voices and urgencies of the people ring out loudly and clearly, we would well and truly be on the road to complete justice in our lives: where no child is deprived of opportunities because of his or her social and economic backgrounds; where every child will grow up to be a contributing member of our society to the fullest of their abilities. That is when we would have redeemed our pledge to bring about full human dignity.
That is the change worth fighting for. That is the change Praja Rajyam will bring about.

Praja Rajyam (Telugu :ఫ్రజా రాజ్యం translation: People’s Rule or People’s Reign) is a regional political party in the state of Andhra Pradesh in India, founded by Telugu cinema actor Chiranjeevi (born Konidela Siva Shankara Vara Prasad) on August 26, 2008.
History
Megastar Chiranjeevi’s foray into politics was highly anticipated in the media and political circles since 2007. While it was reported that he was seeking opinion of people during the latter half of 2007, the media also suggested that he would announce the decision in January 2008. Amongst media speculations, he would launch his political party as an alternative to the ruling Indian National Congress(INC) and Telugu Desam Party(TDP) in his native state of Andhra Pradesh. Several political leaders from the Andhra Pradesh such as Harirama Jogaiah from INC and K. Vidyadhar Rao and Bhuma Nagi Reddy from the TDP joined the party immediately after the party was announced, and well before the policies of the party were announced.
Present
The first public meeting was held by Chiranjeevi on August 26, 2008, at 120-acre Avilala Tank near Tirupati. In this meeting Chiranjeevi has addressed a gathering of about a million people. The party name Praja Rajyam is announced for the first time in this meeting. He also announced basic agenda of the party.
He unveiled the party flag, which has white colour to 3/4 of its height at the top, and the bottom 1/4 is filled with green colour. In middle of the flag a red coloured Sun symbol is embossed which is encircled with a yellow line. There are 24 red coloured beams beyond and around the yellow ring.
Chiranjeevi said that “White” color represents ALL CATEGORIES of PEOPLE in the NATION and for CHRISTIANITY, “Green” for FARMERS and ISLAM, “Yellow”is for HAPPINESS and “Red Sun” says ALL THE TIME WORKING and for HINDUISM. He added that the 24 Beams from the sun says that he and his party will work for 24 hours for the PROSPERITY of people.
He said that he wants to see “SANTOSHANDHRA PRADESH” (HAPPY ANDHRA PRADESH).
On the same day as the party name announced, Chiranjeevi’s representatives have have submitted application to the Election Commission of India for registration of the party.
Incidentally the name Praja Rajyam happens to be the name of a leadership training programme launched by Dr. Jayaprakash Narayan, national convener of Loksatta (party), another political party in Andhra Pradesh. It is also part of a slogan Prajarajyam in Vishalandhra coined by Communist Party of India.

First of all people are making a big Hype of Chiru entry into politics.He is a super star no doubt but cannot be a politician.He cannot even receive a coment on him infact through Pavan kalyan he sends rowdies create nonsense who ever coments him.He should learn that in politics everything happens he should make it a habit.
Politics is different and Cinema is different people come to see him but they will not vote him.Tirupati meet was like a chiru movie morning show ,people have created nonsense they never treated him like a leader but like a star only.
people who are around him are making a hype and targetting CM’s chair, for Chiru’s Information it is not that easy to cross YSR,Naidu,KCR etc and then get 220 seats,it will be chiru’s dream.I am not against Chiru but what ever i am writing its a fact every one should understand it practically. Today politics has become a profession. candidates who cannot buy seats in Cong,TDP,TRS are jumping into Prajarajyam because its very easy get seats or posts. But its not that they will be into power its a day dream. Chiru should first interact with senior level intellectuals. As far as Chiru is concerned, Allu ,Nagababu,Pavan Kalyan,Mitra are the only well wishers and intellectuals,why cant he stop Pavan Kalyan talking nonsense and create confusion in every ones mind. Its looking like a family affair. If he is compared to any other star that doesnt make any sense. EVARI TIME VARIDI. He and the people of AP should know and keep in mind what had happend to Sivaji Ganeshan in Tamilnadu,for the information of readers sam thing happend with Sivaji in TN he himself lost the deposit. Chiru is not Bigger than Sivagi and TN people are more into movies and follow the stars by building temples. SO its a caution to Chiru do not make it a family affair,other wise this will be a big bang in your life during your bad period.
If Chiru wants to become a sensational politician he should first publicly say STOP CORRUPTION,he should request the people not to pay bribes at any level in Police stations, Govt Officers / Offices.If at all any one asks for bribe pls call so and so mobile number (should advise a contact number ),Prajarajyam party cader will be at your rescue,if he does this he will soon become a Balasaheb Thackeray in AP to the CM’s chair it will be a cake walk. But he cannot do it ,he cannot make such a statement,It was not possible with ABDUL KALAM,how can we expect from Chiru. One thing I can predict as on date if the elections a held by Dec 2008 Chiru will get 12 seats if it is in March he may get 20 seats including his,he will again starts acting in movies one day.

You have to start start HELP LINE Center for every town for feedback of pary & peoples troubles like which was already planning to siricilla. This will help to you update allover city & villages information and status of moving party. Please keep 2-3 reliable peoples each town/village (city) and give them one help line no. and they will update you everyday status and movement of party.

Hi,
We welcome whole heartedly Praja Rajyam Party and Chiru’s political entry. But unfortunately, the party is not establishing itself among the people of Andhra Pradesh. PRP itself is giving more chances to their opponents like Telugu Desam Party and Congress Party. We are very much disappointed on the above. Hence, I request Chiranjeevi and others who are involving in the part of establishment of their party should realize on this subject and motivate the people, party leaders and their supporters.
In our view, PRP is not required to worry on any coalition or look for an alliance with any other party. Chiru has that much charisma and people’s following and I can say no other filmy person has that one. But, it works only the way he and his leaders go into the public in the politics with their clear ideas and give clarity to the people about the change what they are intended for the people. If they work with a plan and aggressively establish among the people of Andhra Pradesh is quite enough to win in coming elections. PRP should look into that angle to see the coverage of their movement through media is one and the most important to reach the people. Please engage such a zeal person in the party to look after all activities, media coverage, press conferences and motivate leaders and party workers besides Chiru’s and Pawan’s yatras.I shall be grateful, if PRP could realize with this message and move accordingly into the public to win in the election.

Firstly, Chiru coming into politics is really good sign for Andhra Pradesh people.
Every person who knows about Chiru also know about his good nature, Hard Working, Down to earth, etc… These qualities none of the present politicians have.
Also, Its a clear fact that now TDP is like (Kamma party) and Congress (Reddy Party) although they have got in total 8% population in entire Andhra Pradesh.
All the govt. contracts works and many other projects are alloted to these caste people only.
We need a change, We need people who are representing other castes.
Its a silent voting definately expected but one suggestion to PRP leaders is that please try to be more clear in the speeches and also aggressiveness. People know Chiru with his Punching Dialogues, Aggressive Mentality, Powerful in the movies.
Chiru has to fulfil the same expectation to the people of AndhraPradesh.
SamajikaNayam - PRP has to make every person understand more clearly.
Lok Satta - Association with the LokSatta will be good decision if they do.
Media - PRP is lacking very much, As Chiru is king in movies PRP approach towards media, advertisements should be more innovative and also should touch every ones heart.
PRP should make people understand how much properties these 2 great leaders families (Rajasekhar, Naidu) have earned when they are in power.
I personally vote for PRP and would like to request everyone to vote for PRP.

Speaking on this NRIs feel its injustice to the newer parties like Praja Rajyam Party on denying the Common Symbol at this last minute.

I am an NRI from USA and would like to bring the following for consideration and favorable action.
I am a well wisher of Praja Rajyam Party in Andhra Pradesh, which has more than 50 Lakh registered members and the Party and its President Mr. Chiranjeevi has a huge following in rural areas of the state of Andhra Pradesh. Quite a few of these voters are either illiterate or semi-literate and therefore, rely on the symbol to cast their votes. Lack of a common symbol for the party is bound to confuse voters and deprive them of choosing the leader of their choice. In the absence of allocation of a common symbol, the voters’ ignorance will cause undue advantage for other parties.
Again, the post election scenario of not having a single symbol could also open legal issues and validity of elected member’s association to the party. Therefore, request the CEC to consider this appeal and grant the party with a dedicated single symbol.

firstly, i and many of my friends are real admirer of you the main reason bieng the way you have come up and real hard worker, but then once you became sucessful, most of the people who really see in depth of movies and have little knowledge of the cenima industry know how you are and how many poeple you suppressed in your carrer when they dont suport you, we also know how many people have got effected because of you and your so called Hero brother(Pavan Kalyan) hero only in cenima not in real life and that too only because you are there in the industry other wise he will be no where.people also know the main negative points for PRP is Allu Aravind and Pavan Kalyan.
one more thing is that you are a hero in cenima but not a hero in real life for people who know you at least 10% of your life, the games you play and the money you made and the people you supressed.
on a whole u coming to politics if of no use to people in AP except for your brother in law and your rowdi brothers.
better stay in peoples heart as a hero in cenimas than entering politics

Congrats and Good Luck for your Political Career. Not sure if would read this..As you selected the change (”Marpu”) as the propaganda for your party. The same way you also should change the way you are campaining. No one knows better than you, the problems we are facing today in Andhra Pradesh. In your campaings, tell us how you would or can address these problems.
Instead of criticizing other political parties, tell the public, what is that your are going to do different from what Congress or TDP has done or has been doing…

I admire the wonderful social service activities conducted by you.Today, i m posting the msg bcoz this is the hour of truth.I had immense faith in you but today i m deeply hurt as the leaders of the party are trying to purchase our valueable votes in exchange for money.As, I m a well wisher of PRP, i appeal to either replace the slogan: “SAMAJIKA NYAYAM: THE SOCIAL JUSTICE FOR COMMON MAN” or identify the corrupt & do the needful as these acts spoil the reputation of the Party as so your self. Hi to whom ever it may be, there is a reason to address like this because, i had read all the comments from the starting. I couldnt understand even one comment had been passed to Mr. Chiranjeevi, as there is no reply for even one comment by admin on behalf of ny authorized person.
I had seen one gut done his M.Tech in IIT chennai, he told hez interested in joining but as a fan am eager to know whats the status of him and how you people had considered his request. If there is some reply to that it will be very happy that you people are minimum considered of our comments. Am a die hard fan of chiru n pawan, i always wish success to both of them.

Chiranjeevi starting a party is very much appreciated but he should never say Yes lo Allu Aravind beside him whop will be always misleading him with his Business ideas putting in politics and continuously degrading Chirus and PRP’s Ideal CORE Values.

Can PRP reject a person from working for the party betterment with a motive to get the seat later when the fact is the party is just launched and the thought of allotting seats has not arise – Of course Not.
If more than 1 person is asking for the same Assembly/Lok Sabha seat then to how many people can PRP allot a seat based on their confidence and party allotment criteria? ONE
Will the remaining people who are not allotted a seat tell to the Media that PRP did not have the confidence in him/her so they were not given the seat? Of course Not
Is there cost involved in running daily road shows – YES
Is there cost involved in running Ads in the Media – YES
Is there cost Involved in Running the Party Offices – YES
Does this money have to come from Party Bank Balance – YES
Does Party Bank Balance improve with out raising Party Fund – NO
Is YSR justified in giving 80+ seats to Reddy’s alone and ignoring other OC castes completely? NO
Is CBN plain opportunistic in a ton of ways with no integrity? NO
Is YSR corrupt? YES
Is CBN corrupt? YES
Is Allu Aravind corrupt? For asking much needed party fund
Did CBN Flip Flop over Telangana Issue? YES

There are only 2 castes ruling the state and have a claim to be CM of AP in present times.
In particular Cine field is dominated by Kammas and Politics is dominated by Reddys.
You have to have unbelievable courage to stand up against a mistake committed by Kammas in Krishna region and Reddys in Rayalaseema region.
More than 90% of reddys vote for congress or a reddy candidate.
More than 90% of the kammas vote for TDP or a kamma candidate.
More than 90% of the reddys are pro sakshi paper and TV channel.
More than 90% of the Kammas are pro Eenadu paper and TV channel.
Do you by any chance see a state wide pattern here…
The circulation of news papers like Eenadu, Sakshi and Andhra Jothi account for more than 75% of the total circulation.
They can take any message as they see it to any corner of the state and only they have the infrastructure and network to do that.
Not all 100% Kammas are rich and not all 100% Reddys are rich.
This is not to say Kammas and Reddys are bad. May be they are hard working compared to others. May be their families are more disciplined compared to others. May be they are more ambitious compared to others. Some or all the above…
But the naked fact that we are talking about just 10% or less of Andhra population.
The total percentage of these 2 castes is well below 10% of the state population according the 2004 Indian population statistics. This fact makes me feel less and little insecure.
No ordinary man can challenge this system.
Chiranjeevi is no ordinary man. He challenged.
If they can keep Chiranjeevi down they can keep the present system of your community leader for 1 or 2 terms followed by my community leader for 1 or 2 terms pattern for a long time.
They may succeed to suppress him but this man won my vote because he tried to change.

Sir, Its not enough if a single person in the party to be good or honest. It needs everyone to be in that way. The first thing I expected when you started a party is you wont be allowing any person, from other parties to join into your party. You too know the persons were same in the other party who were fit for nothing except for the post of an MP or an MLA, but still you allowed many who fled into your party from congress or TDP. Why cant you restrict this. Is your will only to have the majority in the state or to attain the CM post? Sir, the samajika nyayam which you are speaking about can be handled if you and your party members work for a cause and in doing so power should only be a bridge to your work but not the power alone.
Every one are speaking about caste, corruption, telangana and many issues. Sir we want someone who is really good at administration. Who can answer to any given question posed by anyone regarding administration. Anyone should fear to open their mouth on your work. SImply saying mana bangaram manchidi ayithe evarenni anna nijam nilustundi.
Sir, we want intellectuals. No one in this country or state is in need of seva. We want good administrators to run the system properly. For this we need loyal people. Money is going to do nothing in ones life. Its an open fact that if we die we are not going to take away any crores or the CM seat with us.
So i would like to make you a point that scolding others or commeting on other parties or replying to other parties comments wont fetch anything. Ignorant people and your fans might want you and your party to win. But with these members in your party, many are not realising that it will be same as before how it used to be.
I am still not understanding with the same old crap how can you and your party bring samajika nyayam? So please do consider this.

First of all I wish very good luck to Megastar for entering into Politics. Because this is only and powerful way to mske change and bring new wave in the mass for their goodwill.
Infact I am from Maharashtra but I have so much craze about the Megastar. Whenever I see the movie or poster of Megastar I feel that this is the ideal person who is able to do something in politice without any kind of selfishness.

Actually I heard about something news whch was a tie up between congress and praja rajyam .So dnt say YES to join them Congress Party. As this party is done lots of caring things to this ANDHRA. I dnt know really about wat exact is that. I just want only to say that this Praja rajyam party must be heard in not only in Andhra Pradesh but also in most INDIA. So I knew that Sir you are the future of INDIA now for AP.
I want to be you as a Prime Minister to whole INDIA.
As Congress gained so much power to whole INDIA like that with a great power this party also must go in that position.

Hiii, Chiru. . . . . I am delighted by the results. Delighted because i want my favorite star back on the silver screen where you fit perfect. Lets now agree that you are not made for this. I love you as a cine star and there is really a little competition for you in that area. I am sure that good wisdom will prevail and you will return to the screen and entertain the people (must have got a feel in your campaigns). At least that will help you to recover the loss to some extent which you have incurred in the process of the hoping that you become the CM. Yes you have in a way become. . . Respected Sir,
Despite best efforts expected results could not be achieved. PRP as a new outfit too had teething problems. Many talented people desired to strengthen your hand to effectively bring about a CHANGE, but were stopped short of meeting you. But the selfish and unscrupulous people(in large numbers) joined you, for their own gains/benefits. You have suspected or doubted them. There was no THOROUGH check of their CREDENTIALS. You believed them on their FACE VALUE. A little screening could have helped.
The TEAM of Core members was excellent. But they went hay-wire due to lack of CO-ORDINATION and your CONTROL.
Sir Yes-men, inefficient, power hungry and Candidates without mass-base came to the fore rather than honest and grassroot level mass leaders.
I urge upon to carryon with renewed energy but mindful of the follies and not to repeat them again.
The journey has begun. There is a long way to go.

Chicken gunya fever is spreading worse in Tirupati city. Even then no action has been taken by Tirupati municipality to control this. Not only my family members, my relatives, neighbours and mostly everyone in tirupati is suffering from Chicken Gunya from few months. Please take some necessary action in controlling it.
